"I would like to share the beauty I see in the world with others".

As a photographer, my passion is for landscapes and portraits.

My appreciation began as a  child, when a family friend took pictures of my family, developed the film and made prints for me to take home. I bought my first camera at age twelve with money I earned priming tobacco on my grandmother's farm.

To me the journey is what is important... the journey, not only of seeing new places and people, but also the journey of exploring self expression through photography.  I have traveled through North America, Asia and Europe capturing beauty as I see it.

I see pictures everywhere. I'm constantly looking, seeing and saying “Wow, that’s beautiful!” I live my life everyday looking for the beauty in the world. When I see it, I know that I am present, here and now. For years I thought everyone could see as I do. I have realized in the past few years that when I mention something I am seeing to others they weren’t aware of it. Almost like it wasn’t even there for them until I mentioned it. For me being here and now, able to feel my heart beat and looking around for the beauty in the world is a wonderful way to spend moments of my day. I pick up a camera and take a picture of what I see as beautiful and share it with a friend. I have a pocket camera with me always so I won’t miss special moments with friends and family, or a wonderful sunset!
